Well, my name is Mike and I retired in 2013. I pretty much started out in life within eyesight of where I live today.
The Klondyke was the start of a mining town that never evolved. At one time I had a plan of the city from the courthouse in Brainerd. There was a little store and post office for a few short years.
In 1997 I bought a Bearcat snowmobile from Arctic cat in Thief River Falls, MN. I drove three hours to go see the biggest snowmobile I would ever own.

This became the KlondykeCat! And I started a website with the same name.
My last job was for 38 years working on the best job I ever had. I worked on drill crews drilling for bridges, roadways, and traveling every week across Minnesota.
Well, I’ve been married for 53 years.
When we first married, I had a few different jobs. I worked at a couple of sawmills, worked at a snowmobile factory, a gas station for a bit, and also worked for the city of Deerwood for 2 years.
From 1961 to 1970 my dad worked in the mine at Babbitt, MN, so I grew up doing a lot of fishing and hunting.

I retired and now I stay home most every day. I never run out of things to do after being on the road every week all those years.
Memories are a wonderful thing!
