When we are young, we don’t really know what we will want to do when we get older? So we try different things in life and some things we continue doing and some things we give up!
At one time I thought that I had a fairly good voice as I used to sing a lot when by myself. In my middle teens I decided to join choir and let others enjoy my voice.
We had try outs one day and I had been placed near the front of the choir, I thought because of my height? But then after a few practices the choir director gradually moved me up the riser till I was on the top step. Well I thought he wanted everyone to be able to hear me in the audience.
But as practices progressed, the director was trying to figure out who was singing out of harmony and raising and lowering their tone. As he was having sections sing so he could narrow the perpetrator down, this girl standing next to me made a step away from me. When we started to sing she was pointing at me?

I thought, “Are you crazy?”
I thought that I had a pretty fair voice, but the director wanted to know if maybe I could just mouth the words to the songs.
Boy that hurt a little.
He asked me then if I had ever thought about going out for band?
I told him, “No I can’t play any instruments.”
But he begged to differ! “I’m sure you could play a tambourine or a triangle?”
I told him, “I can’t read music!”
And he said that I couldn’t sing either!
I don’t honestly remember if I stayed in choir, but I tried.
I think my true love was for art anyway. I had always been drawing from an early age, so I tried art class. That was something I excelled at. I took art class in school for 2 years, but as life goes on we get jobs, buy houses and whatever and we sometimes forget the things we love.
If we are lucky enough to retire, sometimes we pick up again some of those things we loved doing in our younger years. And that’s what I did, so here are a few of the art works that I’ve done. I hope you enjoy!

Well folks, that’s all for now. Please feel free to leave any comments on somebody else’s website and if I find them I’ll be sure not to answer them!
